Sigma® Advanced Genetic EngineeringUnlocking the Possibilities of In Vivo Gene Targeting Due to the absence of ES cell manipulation technology in rats and higher level organisms, many scientists have come to rely on the mouse as the organism of choice for gene knockout experiments, even in research areas where the rat clearly would serve as a better choice due to its physiological, cognitive, and behavioral characteristics. Based on the power of Sigma's exclusive CompoZr ZFN technology, the knockout rat becomes a reality for your research. Learn about our new products and services including:
SAGE Labs announces our collaboration with the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) to develop more accurate preclinical research models of Parkinson’s disease. Under a research grant from MJFF, SAGE Labs will create 5 knockout rat models in order to study the underlying genetic causes of Parkinson’s. These models will launch later next year and be available to researchers all over the world in order to basic research and speed drug development efforts. Be among the first to conduct your research using Sigma's Exclusive Targeted Knockout Rat technology. Visit www.sageresearchmodels.com for more information.
