Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells from Proven Reprogramming Lentiviruses
SIGMA® Life Science and Stemgent have partnered to bring you proven reprogramming viruses for induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) generation. Available in DOX-inducible, non-inducible, and polycistronic formats for both human and mouse, Stemgent reprogramming viruses have been application tested and approved by leaders in the Stem Cell community. All six reprogramming factors are available as individual viruses and functional sets.
First produced in 2006 from mouse cells and in 2007 from human cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are recognized by many as a breakthrough development in stem cell biology. IPSCs are created from differntiated cells, often fibroblasts, when they are reprogrammed through the introduction of specific genes. Cells then express these genes and reprogramming is achieved. Once reprogrammed, these new iPSCs resemble their pluripotent embryonic counterparts in many ways including embryoid body formation, teratoma formation, viable chimera formation, doubling, potency, differentiability, chromatin methylation patterns, and protein expression.
Sigma and Stemgent are pleased to support iPSC research by offering Reprogramming Lentiviruses of the highest quality.
Stringent application testing ensures the highest quality of reprogramming lentiviruses.
Two levels of stringent quality control exist for the Stemgent reprogramming lentiviruses:
- Composition Verified: At this level, QC verification has been completed to ensure efficient viral.
- Application Tested: At this level, a published experiment has been reproduced with a production lot of material.
Experienced reprogramming scientists are ready to provide you technical expertise from experimental design through data interpretation, and each step in between. When you contact Sigma’s technical service group, you will be connected to the wealth of reprogramming expertise at Stemgent as well. Scientists at both companies will work with you to find the answers you need to make your reprogramming a success.
