 The company was originally founded in 1971 as KC Biological. During the 1980’s, through various owners it combined forces with other cell culture manufacturers Dutchland Laboratories, Hazelton Biologics and JR Scientific and became JRH Biosciences.
JRH was owned by CSL Limited (Australia) from 1994 through February 2005 when it was acquired by Sigma-Aldrich Corporation.
Since its inception, the company has manufactured, marketed and distributed cell culture products, becoming known for its customized, industrial-scale capabilities.
