Manufacturing Capabilities

Ensuring Business Continuity

Redundant Manufacturing

Our dry powder media manufacturing sites are Centers of Excellence established as part of a long-term capital expansion plan designed to support industry supply requirements well into the next decade. The sites are co-located in the established biopharmaceutical regions of North America and Europe offering improved and sustainable supply as well as expanded flexibility to serve the continued growth in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Due to the complex nature of cell culture media, SAFC ensures equivalent product with proven processes to ensure both reproducibility from lot to lot as well as comparability of product between sites.

imMEDIAte ADVANTAGE™

  • Scale-down model equivalent for GMP powder mill and blend process equipment
  • Qualified Raw Materials used when possible
  • Formulation derivatives tracked and archived for reference

Packaging and Logistics

Packaging and delivery of end product is as important as the manufacturing process itself. SAFC has a flexible approach to both while maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance. We provide a range of qualified primary and secondary packaging along with a range of additional shipping and storage options including temperature-controlled freight, temperature monitoring and tracking and just-in-time delivery.
