Important Things to Note:
- Users may register at anytime by clicking on the "Register" link in the site header.
- Please complete the entire registration form as accurately as possible. The information you provide will be automatically loaded into the various forms on our web site.
- Required fields are indicated with a red asterisk (additional information is required when you plan to order online).
- Users may not place orders without registering and/or logging-in.
- You will not be able to change your Login Name when modifying your profile.
After you have registered, you only need to login to the Sigma-Aldrich website to order and to modify your profile (when a login name and password have been provided).
If you forget your Password and/or Login Name, click on the “Forgot Password/Login Name” link on the Login page. This will prompt you to enter either your Login Name or Email Address. You will then be prompted to answer the Security Question you chose on your profile. Please see the section below for additional details.

Security Question:
The Security Question and Answer will be used when requesting a forgotten Password and/or Login Name via the site. By answering the question you chose on your profile, the system will send the requested information to the email address contained within your profile.
Note: If there is more than one profile associated with an email address, you will be unable to complete the password/login recovery process. If this occurs you can email us at webhelp@sial.com for assistance.

PIN #:
The PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a new feature designed specifically for you to make ordering by phone faster and more convenient. Your PIN can be created quickly and easily by any Customer Service Representative while taking your order. When placing future orders using your PIN, all shipping information specific to you is contained within the PIN, allowing us to proceed with taking your order immediately. This capability makes it even easier to do business with Sigma-Aldrich (currently available to US, Canadian and Australia customers only).

Credit Card Reference:
The card identification number is recorded as an additional security precaution and is located either on the face or back of the card (see specifics below).
Amex: 4 digit, non-embossed number printed above your account number on the face of your card.
Visa: 3-digit, non-embossed number printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately following the Visa card account number.
MasterCard: 3-digit, non-embossed number printed on the signature panel on the back of the card.
