Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, the world's largest supplier of biochemicals for research use, has a wide range of challenging internship opportunities available for the summer semester. The program pays a competitive salary and requires a commitment to work full-time at Sigma-Aldrich for ten to twelve weeks.

Scientific Disciplines
The program gives students in the scientific community the opportunity to gain hands on experience working with high technology analytical instrumentation and techniques in one or more of the following areas: Enzyme Analysis, Chromatography, Molecular Biology, Wet Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Cell Biology. Positions are available in our Analytical Services, Production and R&D departments. In addition to gaining marketable experience in an industrial setting, students participating in the program have an opportunity to conduct independent research, which is then presented to a Company-wide audience.

Business Areas
Positions are available in several business critical areas, such as finance, marketing, and procurement. The Business Intern contributes significantly to a defined project under the guidance of a Sigma-Aldrich mentor, which includes the identification of data sources, and the assembly and evaluation of information. Following evaluation of data, the intern then makes recommendations and prepares a final report to be presented to a company wide audience.

Requirements include:

• Completion of at least one year of college education before beginning internship
• Excellent academic record
• Demonstrated core competencies, communication, and leadership skills
