US EPA Method 502.2: GC Analysis of Volatiles on VOCOL® (105 m x 0.53 mm I.D.) after Purge & Trap using

Conditions

sample/matrix 5 mL water (5 ppb each analyte)
purge trap VOCARB 3000 (21131-U)
purge 37 mL/min for 11 min at 25 C
desorption process 220 °C for 0.5 min
column VOCOL, 105 m x 0.53 mm I.D., 3.0 µm (25358)
oven 35 C (10 min), 4 °C/min to 200 °C
carrier gas helium, 10 mL/min (plus 20 mL/min as make-up gas)
detector ELCD/PID in series

Description

Analysis Note Sample Preparation: Purge and trap using a VOCARB 4000 trap (8.5cm Carbopack™ C/10cm Carbopack B/6cm Carboxen 1000/1cm Carboxen 1001).
GC Column: VOCOL wide bore capillary column, 105m x 0.53mm ID fused silica, 3.0μm phase film.
