Description

Analysis Note Proteins can be critical molecules to monitor in assessing a particular disease or illness. The abundance of a particular protein (or isoforms thereof) may be indicative of a disease. Likewise, post-translational modifications to a protein may be crucial in the pathology of a disease. For such reasons, the ability to resolve and analyze all these different proteins in a clinical sample from a patient may be of paramount importance. This application demonstrates the ability of the BIOshell A400 Protein C4 column to resolve a mixture of plasma proteins to baseline resolution using a typical water/acetonitrile mobile phase solution supplemented with trifluoroacetic acid.
