LC/MS (TOF) Analysis of 2C Amine Drugs of Abuse on Ascentis® Express HILIC

Conditions

column Ascentis Express HILIC, 5 cm x 2.1 mm I.D., 2.7 µm particles (53934-U)
column temp. 35 C
mobile phase 2 mM ammonium formate in 90:10 (v:v) acetonitrile:water
flow rate 0.4 ml/min
pressure 943 psi (65 bar)
sample 300 ng/mL in acetonitrile
injection 2 µl
detector TOF/MS

Description

Analysis Note The 2C amines are a family of illicit, psychedelic phenethylamines. The term "2C" refers to the two carbon atoms between the benzene ring and the amino group in the parent molecular structure. A rapid separation of four 2C amine compounds is shown here on an Ascentis Express HILIC column with TOF-MS detection. Cerilliant CRMs were used to ensure reliable MS identification and quantification.
