Sample preparation:
In a glass beaker dissolve about 100 mg of sample in 3 ml hydrochloric acid 37 % and 2 ml nitric acid 65 %, on the steambath. When completely dissolved evaporate the acid until only a damp crystalline residue remains. Dissolve this residue in 1 ml hydrochloric acid 37 % and 20 ml water for analysis, transfer to a volumetric flask and fill up to 100 ml with water for analysis.
 
Analysis:
Determine with the above mentioned test kits.
 
Calculation:

Aluminium (total) content in %  =   analysis value in mg/l Al x 10
weight of sample in mg
