Anticonvulsants Antiepileptics

Sigma-Aldrich's Cerilliant brand offers certified Snap-N-Spike® solutions of second-generation and newer anticonvulsants used in the treatment of fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and migraines. These Certified Spiking Solutions® are suitable for numerous applications in pain management or medication monitoring including for use as calibrators and controls or for quantitation of patient drug levels by GC/MS or LC/MS. For anticonvulsant drugs listed as controlled substances by US DEA, we supply DEA-exempt solutions as an added convenience. In addition to second-generation and newer anticonvulsants and their internal standards, we also offer Certified Spiking Solutions® of other antiepileptic drug classes including benzodiazepines, barbiturates, hydantoins, and GABA analogs as well as their metabolites and internal standards.

Cerilliant Snap-N-Spike® reference solutions are manufactured and tested to the highest industry standards including ISO Guide 34 and ISO/IEC 17025. Preparation of our certified reference solutions begins with full characterization of neat materials, including determination of chromatographic purity, residual solvent, residual water, and inorganic content to determine proper weighing adjustments which is critical to accuracy and lot-to-lot consistency. Solutions are gravimetrically prepared using precision balances which have been qualified to ensure minimal uncertainty, flame sealed under argon into ampoules for long term shelf life and rigorously tested to ensure accuracy and shelf life through accelerated and real time studies.

We include with each product a comprehensive Certificate of Analysis (COA) that provides all analytical data on homogeneity, accuracy of concentration as compared to a calibration curve, and uncertainty and traceability information for regulatory requirements.
