ColiComplete® is a patented substrate supporting disc method containing both XGAL and MUG. It is designed to simultaneously detect Total Coliforms and E. coli in food products. The Beta-galactosidase enzyme produced by coliforms reacts with the chromogenic XGAL substrate to produce a visually detectable insoluble blue dye. The Beta-glucuronidase enzyme found in E. coli reacts with the MUG substrate to produce a blue fluorescent reaction under long wave UV light.  ColiComplete provides confirmed quantitative E. coli results in as few as 28 hours and confirmed Total Coliforms result in 48 hours.

The Anaerocult® product range includes systems for producing the anaerobic, microaerobic and capneic growth conditions that are required for anaerobiosis to cultivate anaerobes, microaerophiles and capnophiles organisms for the Food and Beverage industry.

The Anaerocult® products are based on components of the Reagent Mixture which reacts with water to chemically bind all or part of the atmospheric oxygen (O2) in a given volume of air and simultaneously releasing carbon dioxide (CO2).

The resulting growth environment is rich in carbon dioxide and either devoid of oxygen (anaerobic) or oxygen deficient (microaerobic/capneic). There are cost-efficient Anaerocult® products for all laboratory sizes.
