General description
Das Visiprep DL (Disposable Liner, Einweg-Einsatz) Vakuum-Extraktionsgerät verhindert praktisch jede mögliche Kreuzkontamination von einer Probe auf die nächste, am gleichen Anschluss. Der Einsatz besteht aus einem female Luer-Anschluss aus Polypropylen, in den die SPE-Kartusche eingesetzt wird und einem dünnwandigen PTFE-Tubing, das in den SPE-Port eingesetzt wird. Dies stellt sicher, dass jede Oberfläche des SPE-Ports und des Ventils, die mit der Probe in Kontakt kommt, nach jeder Extraktion ersetzt werden kann.
SPE ist eine Form von Chromatographie, und wie bei anderen chromatographischen Methoden ist auch hier die Kontrolle der Flussrate ein kritischer Faktor für den Erhalt reproduzierbarer Extraktionen. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Vakuumverteilern enthält das Visiprep-System ein patentiertes Ventilsystem, das mittels rotierenden, unabhängigen, schraubenartigen Ventilen, die sich an jedem Anschluss in der Verteilerabdeckung befinden, eine präzise Flusskontrolle durch jedes SPE-Röhrchen ermöglicht. Visiprep-Vakuumverteiler geben Ihnen die Möglichkeit, bis zu 12 (Version mit 12 Anschlüssen) oder 24 (Version mit 24 Anschlüssen) SPE-Proben gleichzeitig zu verarbeiten. Der Abstand zwischen den Anschlüssen ist bei den Versionen mit 24 Anschlüssen etwas geringer als bei den Versionen mit 12 Anschlüssen. Daher sollte auf die Röhrchengröße geachtet werden.
Application
Das Visiprep™-SPE-Vakuumfiltrationssystem wurde für die Festphasenextraktion zur Trennung von Polyphenolen von Weintrauben verwendet, um den Polyphenolgehalt mittels LC-MS-Analyse zu bestimmen. Zudem wurde es zum Konzentrieren und Aufreinigen von Lösungsmittelextrakten aus Oberflächenwasser- und Abwassersedimenten verwendet. Unter Verwendung eines Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays für die Festphasenextraktion (SPE-ELISA) wurde dieses System auch für die Extraktion von Estron und zur Bestimmung des Estrongehalts in Wasser eingesetzt.

Zusätzlich ist eine spezielle Platte für für das 24-Port-Modell erhältlich.

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.

Will the racks suit collection in 50mL centrifuge tubes? My principal concern is in cross contamination between adjacent samples. Does this system prevent or reduce aspiration of fine particles during elution?

The racks for the 24-port model of the Visiprep™ SPE Vacuum Manifold are designed for use with smaller collection vessels. The widest collection vessel recommended for the 24-port model is a small 22.75 mm outer diameter scintillation vial. Since 50 mL centrifuge tubes have a nominal outer diameter of 30 mm, they would not fit this model.
There is no containment system to separate collection vessels during sample processing. The disposable liner from each port can be inserted with slight depth into the respective collection vessel to reduce the likelihood of fine solvent particles being aspirated into the manifold.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
