Descrição geral

Aquivion® PFSA PW series grades are coarse powders based on the short-side-chain (SSC) copolymer of Tetrafluoroethylene and the Sulfonyl Fluoride Vinyl Ether (SFVE) CF2=CF2-O-(CF2)2-SO2F industrially produced by Solvay Specialty Polymers. The resulting perfluoropolymer′s functional groups are in their sulfonic acid form, SO3H.

Aplicação

  • Aquivion® PW87S acid powder exhibits ion cation-exchange capacity and can be used as such under conditions where conventional exchange resins have shown insufficient chemical resistance.
  • Given the resin′s superacid functionality, it can also be used either directly or as an ingredient of composite structures in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. This encompasses a wide range of organic synthesis and respective reaction mechanisms, as already described in public literature.
