Egg PC has been used:

Biochem/physiol Actions

Phosphatidylcholine (PC) functions as a surfactant within the mucus to form a hydrophobic surface to inhibit bacterial penetrance.[4] It is used to treat fat embolism. Phosphatidylcholine lowers the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides.[5]

General description

Phosphatidylcholines (PC) are the building blocks of eukaryotic membranes. It is also found at high levels in C. elegans lipid extracts.[1] It is a strong bilayer-forming lipid.[6] PC is an important component of the mucosal layer of the colon.[4]
