General description

A cell-permeable piperidinamide compound that acts as a reversible and highly potent inhibitor of MAPK p38α (IC50 = 32 nM) with no detectable activity against p38γ even at concentrations as high as 10 µM. Shown to effectively block the differentiation of L8 myoblasts to myotubes at 10 µM in a reversible manner. Not a competitive inhibitor with respect to either ATP or substrate.
