General description

The SmartPak® DQ3 Purification Pack LT contains a combination of selective purification media to produce Type 3 pure and Type 1 ultrapure water directly from tap water.
The SmartPak® DQ3 is an all-in-one twin cartridge removes trace impurities from tap water. The first cartridge combines pretreatment media and a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane. The second cartridge contains ion-exchange resins.
This pack contains exclusive Jetpore®, ultrapure grade mixed-bed ion-exchange resin to produce pure and ultrapure water directly from tap water.
The SmartPak® needs to be periodically replaced during maintenance of the system.
For use with Direct-Q® water purification systems with low (<15 °C) feed water temperature.

Application

This pack removes a variety of water contaminants (ions, organics, particles...).

  1. How are the filters properly disposed of after replacement?

    1. The SmartPak® DQ3 Purification Pack is not classified in Europe as a hazardous substance in regard to the substance definition in Article 3 of the Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical (REACH) and in regard to the hazardous substance and mixtures classification criteria from the Annex I of the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 of 16 December 2008 on classification, labeling and packaging of substance and mixtures.

      The SmartPak® DQ3 Purification Pack does not require in Europe any Safety Data Sheet (SDS) to be in accordance with the Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 and the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008.

      The SmartPak® DQ3 Purification Pack does not require a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) under the Occupational Health and Safety Administration Standard entitled “Hazard Communication” 29 CFR 1910.1200 for the United States of America.

      The SmartPak® DQ3 Purification Pack does not meet the criteria of a W.H.M.I.S. classification of a controlled product. As a result, a W.H.M.I.S. Material Safety Data Sheet is not required in Canada for this product.

      Disposable of wastes should be in accordance with applicable regional, national, and local laws and regulations. Do not discharge into drains or the environment, dispose to an authorized waste collection point.

  2. What are the storage conditions for this product?

    1. Recommended storage conditions: temperatures from 5 to 30°C; humidity between 10 and 80%. The original sealed bag (if provided) must be kept intact before the first use to protect the purification element from foreign matter.

  10. How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

    1. The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.
