Protein kinase A inhibitor fragment inhibits the protein kinase cAMP-activated catalytic subunit alpha (PRKACA). The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 19p13.1. Mutations in the gene encoding protein kinase cAMP-activated catalytic subunit α (PRKACA) have been associated with Cushing′s syndrome.[1][2]
