General description

Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - Horseradish Peroxidase. Goat anti-rabbit IgG conjugated to multiple HRP molecules on a Dextran backbone.

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) belongs to the immunoglobulin family and is a widely expressed serum antibody.[1] An immunoglobulin has two heavy chains and two light chains connected by a disulfide bond. It is a glycoprotein and mainly helps in immune defense.[2] IgG is a major class of immunoglobulin.[3] Immunoglobulin G (IgG) participates in hypersensitivity type II and type III.[4] Rabbit IgG is further divided into five classes- IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD and IgE. It has only one IgG variant with one interheavy disulfide bridge.[3] It helps in opsonization, complement fixation and antibody dependent cell mediated cytotoxicity.[5]

Application

AMDEX^™ goat anti rabbit IgG horseradish peroxidase conjugate has been used in immunohistochemistry[6] and ELISA.[7]
