DpC is an iron-chelating agent.
DpC is an iron-chelating agent. In four separate human pancreatic tumor cell lines, DpC significantly increased the expression and phosphorylation of the growth and metastasis suppressor, N-myc down-stream regulated gene 1 (NDRG1) and the cdk inhibitpr p21CIP1/WAF. DpC completely blocked PANC-1 tumor growth in mouse xenografts.
