BOD/COD, TOC

BOD (biological oxygen demand) is the amount of oxygen consumed by the microorganisms to decompose the organic matter in wastewater. TOC (total organic carbon) has become an important parameter used to monitor overall levels of organic compounds present in wastewater in terms of total carbon content.
