General description

Cap B solution contains tetrahydrofuran (THF), pyridine, and N-methylimidazole (NMI). It is mixed in situ with Cap A solution during the capping (acetylation) reaction. Pyridine is applied as a mild base while NMI provides a powerful acylation catalyst.
