Application

Assembled screw cap with hole and PTFE/silicone septum was used with screw top vials, to contain plant tissue in an experimental study done in order to identify major volatiles emanating from chestnut reproductive plant tissue.[1] It may also be used in automated solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass selective detection (AutoSPME-GC-MSD) analyses for the determination of sugar-amino acid reaction mechanisms and production of branched-chain alkyl-substituted pyrazines.[2]
