General description

Water standard oil is composed using transformer oil and its water content is measured by coulometric Karl Fischer titration. It is designed for applications requiring the measurement of water content in oil samples.

Please visit ISO certificates and Site Quality Self-Assessments to access the current certificates of accreditation.

In our effort to be more sustainable, we′re going digital with COAs-download them directly from our website. Download your certificate at https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/US/en/documents-search to view certified values, including uncertainty and expiry date.

Application

It finds applications as a certified reference material (CRM) in checking the accuracy of coulometric Karl Fischer titrators as per ISO 9001 chapter 7.1.5 “Monitoring and measuring resources”.

Features and Benefits

  • Packed in convenient 8 mL glass ampoules with 10 single-use ampoules in a box
  • Subjected to stability and homogeneity studies following ISO 17034 and ISO Guide 35
  • Measured and qualified in an ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 17034 accredited laboratory
  • Directly traceable to SI unit (kg) and verified by SRM 2890 from NIST
  • Supplied with a batch-specific digital certificate of analysis (CoA) having data on exact measured water content of the batch, uncertainty, method of analysis, the NIST batch, and minimum shelf life
