Chromogranin A. The antibody has been extensively documented on immunohistochemical studies in deparaffinized methacarn fixed tissue, where it is a sensitive marker of neuroendocrine cells and tumors. Not recommended for formalin fixed tissues, see MAB5268 or CBL219. On western blots, it identifies the identical bands recognized by antibody LK2H10 (Wilson and Lloyd).
Anti-Chromogranin A Antibody, clone PHE5 detects level of Chromogranin A & has been published & validated for use in WB, IH(P).
Immunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:2,000 on alcohol fixed deparaffinized tissue sections (ABC peroxidase) or 1:10,000 on Methacarn-fixed deparaffinized tissue sections. Will show fine granular cytoplasmic staining associated with secretory granules.
Western Blot: recognizes a band migrating at approximately 68-75 kDa corresponding to chromogranin A.
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.
