1-Methoxy-5-methylphenazinium methyl sulfate (MPMS) is a stable electron-transport mediator between NAD(P)H and tetrazolium dyes. The reduced form of MPMS converts tetrazolium salt to purple precipitate formazan.

Aplicación

1-Methoxy-5-methylphenazinium methyl sulfate has been used as a component of buffers or solutions for the assay of lactate dehydrogenase and muscle succinate dehydrogenase.
