# Genomic DNA Extraction and Amplification Procedure using REDExtract-N-Amp™ Tissue PCR Kit
Product No. XNAT
The REDExtract-N-Amp™ Tissue PCR Kit contains all the reagents needed to rapidly extract and amplify genomic DNA from mouse tails and other animal tissues, buccal swabs, hair shafts, and saliva. The amplified DNA can be loaded directly onto an agarose gel after the PCR is completed and PCR products can be purified, if desired, for downstream applications such sequencing with the GenElute PCR Clean-up Kit ([NA1020](https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/ES/en/product/sigma/na1020)).
- __Starting material__
- Mouse Tail (0.5 to 1.0 cm)
- Tissue (2 to 10 mg)
- Buccal (10 µL)
- __Speed__ – Extraction of genomic DNA for PCR in 15 minutes
- __Convenient__ – No long enzymatic digestions
- __Safe__ – No phenol/chloroform or other hazardous materials
- __Specific__ – Hot start antibody for highly specific PCR amplification of genomic DNA
