Description

General description

CellCrown 48 is available as three models; non-sterile and sterile empty inserts and with preattached, transparent PET filter with pore sizes of 1 μm and 8 μm.

CellCrown 48 contains bodies and fixing rings as rows of 6 parts (6 well strip). The installation of the samples is easier if one of the shafts is cut off prior installation of the sample. The sample is placed on the top of row of rings and bodies are pushed on their place or alternatively the sample can be placed in the ends of bodies and then pushed the rings into their places. After this the samples can be cut between the rings, if needed. Now the sample is ready for installation into well plate.

Row of CellCrown 48 can be cut into smaller, even single parts. Single CellCrown 48 insert maintains its position in the well even alone. Even though standard lids of well plates can be used with CellCrown 48 inserts, follow-up of the sufficient level of media in wells is recommended.

CellCrown is a disposable insert, which immobilizes a sample in its place on a 6, 12, 24, 48, and 96-well plate. Fibers, foils, membranes, textiles, tissue and block like samples can be fixed with CellCrown in a firm, adjusted position in the well. The sample can be left in the well during the change of media by means of a pipette between the wall of the well and the CellCrown. The lid of the well plate can be closed while CellCrown is used. The insert can be removed from the well plate and unloaded after cell culturing without damaging the sample. CellCrown is made of medical grade polycarbonate and the product range includes sterile products ready to use as well as non-sterile products to be sterilized by the user. Sterilization can be by gamma or e-beam radiation, autoclaving, ethylene oxide gas and plasma sterilization.
