Description

General description

Pilocarpine Nitrate is a naturally occurring cholinomimetic drug, exhibiting nicotinic and muscarinic properties. It is widely used for controlling intraocular pressure in glaucoma, immediate relief of mydriasis, and to reverse mydriasis caused by cycloplegic agents.

Application

These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. Biochem/physiol Actions

Nonselective muscarinic acetylcholine receptor agonist; used to produce an experimental model of epilepsy.
