Description générale

ZooMAb antibodies represent an entirely new generation of recombinant monoclonal antibodies.

Each ZooMAb antibody is manufactured using our proprietary recombinant expression system, purified to homogeneity, and precisely dispensed to produce robust and highly reproducible lot-to-lot consistency. Only top-performing clones are released for use by researchers. Each antibody is validated for high specificity and affinity across multiple applications, including its most commonly used application. ZooMAb antibodies are reliably available and ready to ship when you need them.

Clone 4C19 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Zinc Finger Protein 638 (ZNF638). It targets an epitope within 21 amino acids from the C-terminal region.

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 21 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human Zinc Finger Protein 638 (ZNF638).

Quality Control Testing

Anti-ZNF638, clone 4C19 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1186, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that targets ZNF638 and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting.

Description de la cible

Zinc finger protein 638 (UniProt: Q14966; also known as Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen se33-1, CTCL-associated antigen se33-1, Nuclear protein 220, Zinc finger matrin-like protein, ZNF638) is encoded by the ZNF638 (also known as NP220, ZFML) gene (Gene ID: 27332) in human. ZNF638 is a nucleocytoplasmic transcription factor that binds to cytidine clusters in double-stranded DNA and plays a key role in the silencing of unintegrated retroviral DNA. It is also shown to act as an early regulator of adipogenesis by acting as a transcription cofactor of CEBPs, controlling the expression of PPAR and other pro-adipogenic genes, such as SREBF1. ZNF638 is selectively expressed in mature thermogenic adipocytes and tissues and its induction in response to classic stimuli promotes heat generation. It is shown to be upregulated by cAMP modulators in vitro and by cold exposure and by pharmacological stimulation of β-adrenergic signaling in vivo. Ectopic expression of ZNF638 is reported to increase adipogenesis in vitro, whereas its knockdown inhibits differentiation and decreases the expression of adipocyte-specific genes. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
