General description

Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standard. Trolamine belongs to the family of ethanolamines, offering a broad spectrum of applications due to its ability to combine the properties of both amines and alcohols.[1] Its property as an organic base to form soluble neutralization products with insoluble acids is reported.[2]

Application

These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.

Analysis Note

These secondary standards offer multi-traceability to the USP and EP primary standards, where they are available.

Questions

  1. Can this trilamina be used to cure sunburn

    1 answer
    1. This Triethanolamine product is a pharmaceutical secondary standard/certified reference material. This item is used for testing only and would not be suitable for cosmetic or therapeutic use. Trolamine is typically available as the salt form of Triethanolamine in commercially available Trolamine Salicylate creams and ointments. A pharmaceutical grade option of triethanolamine is offered that would be suitable for this type of formulation:
