APTES的自组装单层膜(SAM)可用于改善石墨烯薄片和SiO2的粘附力，从而与金属电极维持更好的接触。这些电极可用作生物传感应用的电响应工具。它可用于官能化硅烷二叠氮基，以用于光纤生物传感器应用。中空微载体(HMC)可通过APTES进行表面修饰，后者可用于生物制药行业中的再生药物和重组细胞。
