应用

2-Aminoethylmethacrylate hydrochloride(AMA) can be used as a precursor to synthesize:

• Homo and copolymerbrushes of AMA, which can be used to tune the electrochemical properties ofsilicon wafers.
• Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)based polyurethane/urea composite scaffolds for tissue engineeringapplications.
• Antimicrobialbacterial cellulose/poly (AMA) nanocomposites. Polymer incorporation impartsmechanical properties and antimicrobial activity to bacterial cellulosemembranes.

It can also be used for the efficientfunctionalization of hyaluronic acid via triazine-mediated amidation.
