General description

NF-E2相关因子2(核因子红系2相关因子2)是一种转录激活因子,可与目标基因启动子区域的抗氧化反应元件(ARE)结合。NF-E2相关因子2可介导基因对氧化应激的协同上调。NF-E2相关因子2也可能参与β-珠蛋白簇基因的转录激活。NF-E2相关因子2广泛表达,在成年肌肉、肾脏、肺、肝和胎儿肌肉中表达量最高。

Target description

观测值~75 kDa。已知存在68 kDa(异构体1)和66 kDa(异构体2)的两个异构体。由于在Nrf2中发现了大量酸性残基,这导致其在SDS-PAGE中发生异常迁移,因此在〜75 kDa处观察到该蛋白质(Abu-Bakar, A., et al. (2007) Drug Metab Dispos.35(5):787-794.)。NF-E2相关因子2的泛素化形式可在〜110 kDa处观察到(Li, J., et al. (2005).Toxicol Sci. 83(2):313-328.)。
