Pre-stained proteins are commonly used as molecular weight markers in electrophoresis. Several protein markers are available as pre-stained proteins with vinyl sulfone dyes. After separation through electrophoresis, the protein of interest is visualized by specific antibody coupled to a fluorophore or by chemiluminescence detection system. Anti-Blue antibody, Clone 2D2-F11, is a unique antibody that can detect pre-stained molecular markers from different vendors without the need to perform a manual marking and estimating molecular weights. The use of this antibody allows for visualization of marker proteins along with the protein of interest on the same blot. Anti-Blue antibody offers high specificity and does not interfere with the detection of other antibodies, In addition, it does not display reactivity with other cellular proteins, unstained marker proteins, or with proteins stained with different dyes.
