生化/生理作用

藏红花素具有抗氧化、抗炎症、抗癌、抗变性和抗糖尿病的特性。
藏红花素可缓解乙醇诱导的学习障碍,并阻止乙醇诱导的海马长时程增强 (LTP) 抑制,LTP 是一种可能影响学习和记忆的活性依赖性突触可塑性形式。相关的 CNS 效应是二基因二糖酯特有的;西红花酸葡萄糖龙胆二糖酯的效力是二分之一,二葡萄糖酯则完全没有作用。
