General description

B细胞主要以五聚体形式分泌IgM抗体,但也可能以能够更有效地激活补体级联的六聚体形式分泌。
山羊抗人IgM(mu-链特异性)-过氧化物酶抗体对人IgM具有特异性,并不与其他人Igs结合。此外,该抗体不与小鼠和大鼠IgG反应。因此,抗体偶合物用于小鼠或大鼠样品时可产生更低的背景。

Biochem/physiol Actions

IgM在凋亡细胞的吞噬中起到了关键作用。血清IgM水平的降低可导致自身免疫反应的增强并增加感染风险。IgM显示出了多反应性和自反应性功能。它可通过介导基于组织分子的清除而在组织动态平衡中起关键作用。
