General description

PCAF is a histone acetylase that functions as a nuclear receptor coactivator. Studies have reported that PCAF acetylates p53 sites in vitro.
Rabbit Anti-PCAF antibody recognizes rat, bovine, chicken, zebrafish, canine, mouse, and human PCAF.

Rabbit Anti-PCAF antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 2.5μg/ml.

Biochem/physiol Actions

CBP and p300 are large nuclear proteins that bind to many sequence-specific factors involved in cell growth and/or differentiation, including c-jun and the adenoviral oncoprotein E1A. PCAF associates with p300/CBP. It has in vitro and in vivo binding activity with CBP and p300, and competes with E1A for binding sites in p300/CBP.
