α-糜蛋白酶是一种丝氨酸肽酶,在由二硫键连接的三条多肽链(a 链-13 残基、B 链-131 残基和 C 链-97 残基)中含有 241 个氨基酸残基。发现该酶的分子量为 25 kDa。其 pI 为 8.75。选择性水解酪氨酸、苯丙氨酸、色氨酸和亮氨酸 C 末端的肽键。ca2+ 激活并稳定酶。该酶被二异丙基氟磷酸盐 (DFP)、苯甲基磺酰氟 (PMSF)、N-对甲苯磺酰基-L-苯丙氨酸氯甲基酮 (TPCK)、糜蛋白酶抑制剂、抑肽酶、α10-抗胰蛋白酶、α2-巨球蛋白、10 mM cu2 + 和 hg2 + 抑制。

    It is recommended to reconstitute product C7762 in 1 mM hydrochloric acid containing 2 mM calcium chloride. The calcium functions as both a stabilizer (and possibly an activator) of the enzyme.

    Stock solutions prepared in 1 mM HCl, containing 2 mM calcium chloride can be stored at -20 °C for about one week.
