生化/生理作用

β-羟基丁酸是存在于肝细胞瘤胃上皮中的酮体。其与乙酰乙酸酯的相互转化可影响酸碱平衡,并与荧光测定的(烟酰胺腺嘌呤二核苷酸)NAD +偶联产生NADH。高血浆水平的 β-羟基丁酸与糖尿病酮症酸中毒有关。它以单羧酸的形式穿过血脑屏障。β-羟基丁酸可能在帕金森病模型中对多巴胺能神经变性发挥保护作用。β-羟基丁酸是 G 蛋白偶联受体 (GPR109A) 的配体,有利于抑制奶牛垂体前叶细胞 (DCAPCs) 中生长激素 (GH) 和催乳素 (PRL) 基因的分泌、转录和翻译。
