生化/生理作用

人ARG1基因编码蛋白质精氨酸酶。在创伤、癌症、慢性伤口、怀孕和糖尿病中,血清精氨酸酶水平上升。它在肝细胞癌(HCC)的诊断中显示出良好的灵敏度和特异性,但是对胰腺癌(PAD)的灵敏度低、特异性高。它可能通过L-精氨酸调节血清L-精氨酸和3-硝基酪氨酸。肝细胞精氨酸酶缺乏症导致精氨酸血症(一种常染色体隐性遗传病)。
