应用

脂多糖(LPS)是革兰氏阴性细菌细胞壁的特征组分。脂多糖及其脂质 A 部分通过 Toll 样受体 4(TLR4)刺激先天免疫系统的细胞,Toll 样受体 4是 Toll 样受体蛋白家族的成员,其识别常见的病原体相关分子模式(PAMP)。

生化/生理作用

脂多糖位于膜的外层,在非包膜菌株中,暴露在细胞表面。它们有助于外膜的完整性,保护细胞免受胆盐和亲脂性抗生素的作用。

制备说明

该产品可溶于水(5毫克/毫升)或细胞培养基(1毫克/毫升),产生一种朦胧的淡黄色溶液。在涡旋并升温至70-80 oC温度后,在盐水中获得了更浓但仍模糊的溶液(20毫克/毫升)脂多糖是在每种溶剂中形成胶束的分子。在水和磷酸盐缓冲盐水中观察到混浊的溶液。有机溶剂不能提供更清晰的溶液。甲醇产生带有漂浮物的混浊悬浮液,而水产生均匀混浊的溶液。
