Laboratory Tubes

Corning centrifuge tubes

Laboratory tubes, including test tubes, culture tubes, and centrifuge tubes, are typically made of glass or plastic and are used in various scientific experiments and procedures. They are cylindrical in shape, with a rounded bottom and an open top, often featuring volume markings on the side to measure the volume of liquid contained within them. Laboratory tubes can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as mixing and heating chemicals, storing small amounts of liquids, or observing reactions under a microscope.

Test Tubes

Test tubes are cylindrical glass or plastic tubes with open tops and rounded bottoms. They are commonly used in laboratories for holding and mixing small quantities of liquids or substances during experiments or analysis. Test tubes come in various sizes, typically ranging from a few centimeters to several tens of centimeters in length. They are designed to withstand temperature changes, chemical reactions, and sterilization processes. Test tubes often have graduation marks to measure volumes of liquids and can be sealed with caps or stoppers to prevent contamination or evaporation.

Pyrex® Tubes

BRAND® Test Tubes, Graduated, Glass

These test tubes are colorless, made of borosilicate glass, and come with a polypropylene cap and round bottom.

BRAND® Universal Sample Tubes

These test tubes are clear and colorless polystyrene sample tubes with round bottoms.

DURAN® Test Tubes

Duran test tubes, made of borosilicate glass, are free of graduations and are both sterile and autoclavable.

Corning® Falcon® Round Bottom Test Tubes

These test tubes are available in both sterile and non-sterile options, made of polystyrene with a round bottom, and come with a screw cap.

Centrifuge Tubes

Centrifuge tubes, also known as centrifuge bottles or centrifuge vials, are designed to be used in centrifuges. Their design enables them to withstand the high-speed rotational forces inside centrifuge machines without the risk of breakage or deformation. These tubes are usually made of durable materials such as polypropylene or glass ensuring their reliability under demanding centrifugation conditions. Centrifuge tubes play a crucial role in various applications, including the separation of components in biological samples, purification of proteins or DNA, and sedimentation of particles or cells.

Eppendorf® Centrifuge Tubes

Made of the highest quality, either virgin or bio-circular polypropylene (PP), Eppendorf® centrifuge tubes are free from biocides, plasticizers, and latex. They are produced with optimized, highly polished molds without the use of slip agents such as oleamide, erucamide, or stearamide. Our product range includes Eppendorf grade for standard use, Biopure for culture applications, and LoBind to ensure you recover the maximum sample in your protein and PCR applications.

Greiner Centrifuge Tubes

These centrifuge tubes are made of crystal-clear polypropylene, and their suitability for centrifugation depends on the specific gravity of the solution being processed and the type of rotor used.

TPP® Centrifuge Tubes

These centrifuge tubes are constructed from transparent polypropylene material and feature a conical bottom and a cap. They are compatible with all standard centrifuges, and their innovative design prioritizes a secure seal, exceptional transparency, clear graduations, and highly visible marking areas. The screw cap closure on the centrifuge tube is secure and resistant to overturning. The tubes exhibit excellent transparency, and the white marking areas on the cap and side of the tube are easily noticeable.

Nalgene® Centrifuge Tubes

These centrifuge tubes are non-sterile, clear tubes made of polypropylene copolymer, featuring a conical bottom. The polypropylene copolymer is compatible with a wide range of reagents.

BRAND® Centrifuge Tubes

These BRAND® centrifuge tubes are made of high-quality, chemically resistant polypropylene. The cylindrical tubes feature a beaded rim.

PYREX® Disposable Glass Conical Centrifuge Tubes

These centrifuge tubes are non-sterile, made of borosilicate glass with threads and a conical bottom.

Microtubes, also known as microcentrifuge tubes, are small containers designed for the storage of liquid volumes ranging from microliters to milliliters. They come in both sterile and non-sterile options and can be found with a choice of caps, including snap or screw varieties, making them adaptable for use with microcentrifuge.

Eppendorf® Safe-Lock Micro Test Tubes

These microcentrifuge tubes are colorless tubes with a cap, featuring a conical bottom with graduation markings. The lid provides additional protection against unintentional opening during incubation and storage. The tubes are autoclavable, with a temperature range of -86 °C to 100 °C. The polypropylene material offers protection against chemical and mechanical stress, as well as extreme temperatures.

MAXYMum Recovery® Microtubes

These tubes are made of chemically resistant polypropylene and are equipped with snap caps to ensure an efficient seal for sample protection. The surface of the tubes allows for ultra-low retention, promoting optimal precision, accuracy, and maximizing sample recovery.

Clear-view™ Snap-Cap Microtubes

These microtubes are colorless, conical tubes made of polypropylene. They are RNase and DNase-free, and the angled cap design makes opening them easy, preventing thumb fatigue.

PCR Tubes

PCR tubes are small tubes used for conducting polymerase chain reactions (PCR) in molecular biology laboratories. These tubes, manufactured from various materials, and available in different capacities, are designed to withstand the high temperatures required during the PCR process.

Corning® PCR Tubes

These PCR tubes are non-sterile and free of DNase and RNase, made of thin-walled polypropylene. They are designed to provide a precise fit in heat blocks, optimizing heat transfer efficiency. Also, these tubes are autoclavable.

Eppendorf® PCR Tubes

These tubes are colorless polypropylene tubes with a conical bottom. They feature uniform wall thickness and smooth surfaces that facilitate efficient sample heating, thereby expediting the PCR process.

Cell Culture Tubes

Pyrex® Culture Tubes

Culture tubes, manufactured from borosilicate glass, are designed to minimize pH changes, and reduce the risk of contaminants that could be released from soda-lime glass. They are also offered as disposable tubes, available with either a round or flat bottom and with or without a rim and screw-cap options.

NMR Tubes
