General description

Colorimetric assay for the quantitative determination of α-glucosidase (maltase) in human semen research samples. α-Glucosidase is a key enzyme involved in carbohydrate hydrolysis. It is essential for the conversion of oligosaccharides and disaccharides into glucose.

Application

α-Glucosidase Assay Kit has been used to measure neutral α-glucosidase (NAG) activity in seminal samples for the evaluation of epididymal function.

Features and Benefits

  • Fast and sensitive: The analysis can be performed using only 15 μl of semen or seminal plasma, ensuring accurate results while minimizing the sample volume needed.
  • Specific: The assay is designed to measure the activity of neutral α-glucosidase in human semen samples in life science research applications. It is not designed for diagnostic applications and cannot be used to measure α-glucosidase in other specimens.
  • Compatible: The assay is compatible with microplate assay formats and standard cuvette formats

Packaging

1 kit containing 5 components.

Components

The α-Glucosidase Assay contains the substrate and all buffers for the measurement of α-glucosidase in human semen or seminal plasma samples. It also contains a standard substance to set up a standard curve.

Preparation Note

Storage conditions (working solution): For stability of reconstituted kit components see section "General considerations".

Other Notes

For life science research only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
