General description

Milliflex® Cassette is ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex® or Milliflex Oasis® system for convenient, rapid, and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10ml of the media. Sabouraud Dextrose Agar contains digests of animal tissues (peptones) which provide a nutritious source of amino acids and nitrogenous compounds for the growth of fungi and yeasts. Glucose is added as the energy and carbon source. The low pH favors fungal growth.

Application

Milliflex® Cassette prefilled with Sabouraud Dextrose Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis of water especially high purity water (electronics, RO, distilled or purified). It is widely used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and brewing industry.
