General description

Poloxamer 188 PRO has been specifically designed for use in cell culture, to improve cell viability and protect cells in suspension against possible damage during subculture, freezing and thawing, and stirring.

Application

Hard and soft surface cleaners, defoamers in coatings and water treatment. Lubricant in metal working, anti-foaming aid and extender for linear and cross-linked polyesters and polyurethanes.

Poloxamers are polymers often used for drug delivery as formulation exipients. Other applications include use as surfactants, emulsifying agents, solubilizing reagent, dispersing agents, gel binders, thickening agents, and as in vivo absorbance enhancers.
