Target description

Zinc finger protein 638 (UniProt: Q14966; also known as Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen se33-1, CTCL-associated antigen se33-1, Nuclear protein 220, Zinc finger matrin-like protein, ZNF638) is encoded by the ZNF638 (also known as NP220, ZFML) gene (Gene ID: 27332) in human. ZNF638 is a nucleocytoplasmic transcription factor that binds to cytidine clusters in double-stranded DNA and plays a key role in the silencing of unintegrated retroviral DNA. It is also shown to act as an early regulator of adipogenesis by acting as a transcription cofactor of CEBPs, controlling the expression of PPAR and other pro-adipogenic genes, such as SREBF1. ZNF638 is selectively expressed in mature thermogenic adipocytes and tissues and its induction in response to classic stimuli promotes heat generation. It is shown to be upregulated by cAMP modulators in vitro and by cold exposure and by pharmacological stimulation of β-adrenergic signaling in vivo. Ectopic expression of ZNF638 is reported to increase adipogenesis in vitro, whereas its knockdown inhibits differentiation and decreases the expression of adipocyte-specific genes. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Storage and Stability

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
