5-(2-ベンゾチアゾリル)-3-エチル-2-[2-(メチルフェニルアミノ)-エテニル]-1-フェニル-1H-ベンゾイミダゾリウム、すなわちAktインヒビターIVは、Aktより上流にあり、PI3Kより下流にあるキナーゼのATP結合部位を標的としてAktのリン酸化/活性化を阻害する細胞透過性ベンゾイミダゾール化合物です。786-O細胞において、Aktに仲介されるFOXO1aの核外輸送(IC50 = 0.625μM)と細胞増殖(IC50 < 1.25μM)を遮断することが示されています。ホスファチジルイノシトール類縁体に基づくAkt阻害剤とは異なり、この阻害剤はPI3Kには影響しません。
