General description

ハリー・イーグルにより開発された最小必須培地(MEM)は、すべての合成細胞培養培地の中で最も広く使用される培地の1つです。正常哺乳類線維芽細胞や一部のサブタイプのHeLa細胞を培養した初期の研究から、これらの細胞はイーグル基礎培地(BME)に含まれない特定の栄養成分が必要となることが明らかにされました。これらの細胞や他の細胞を培養に用いたその後の研究では、BMEを添加すると、培養条件の厳しい広範な細胞の増殖に役立つことが示されました。

こうした改変を加えたMEMは、高濃度のアミノ酸を含んでいるため、培養哺乳動物細胞のタンパク質組成により近いものになります。MEMは、単層で増殖する広範な細胞の培養に使用します。ハンクス塩かアール塩のいずれかを含む本製品に、オプションで非必須アミノ酸を補充すると、本培地の有用性が拡大します。

Application

通常、線維芽細胞などの付着細胞株をFBS、仔ウシまたはウマの血清存在下で増殖させるために使用されます。

本製品にはL-Ala、L-Asn、L-Glu、Gly、L-Pro、L-Serが含まれていません。
