It is essential for creating porous MgAl-layered double hydroxide (LDH)/carbon fiber composites and MgFe₂O₄/γ-Fe₂O₃ magnetic microspheres. These composites effectively adsorb Congo red dye through a combination of biotemplating and pollen template.[,]
